Description
The North Head lighthouse location is noted as one of the windiest and stormiest locations in the Pacific North West. The story is that after 25 years of lighthouse duties shared with her husband the light house keeper and 6 months short of retirement Mary could no longer stand the sound of the wind and the raging storms. After telling her husband she was taking a walk she walked to the edge of the outcropping and threw herself off the cliff. Theres talk to this day of poor Marys ghost still looking for peace. In this particular image you can see the shadow of North Head lighthouse lying on the rocks of the outcropping.
